Reward Information: When Cash Back Checking qualifications are met during a Monthly Qualification Cycle, you will receive one-percent (1.00%) cash back on up to a total of $1,000.00 signature-based and PIN-based debit card purchases that post and settle to the account during that cycle period. A maximum of $10.00 cash back may be earned per Monthly Qualification Cycle based on account qualifications. When Cash Back Checking qualifications are not met, no cash back payments are made. Cash back payments will be credited to your Cash Back Checking account on the last day of current statement cycle. Rates and rewards are variable and may change after account is opened.

Additional Information: Account approval, conditions, qualifications, limits, timeframes, enrollments, logons and other requirements apply. A $25 minimum deposit is required to open the account. Enrollment in electronic services (e.g. online banking, electronic statements, and logons may be required to meet some of the account’s qualifications. A $5 monthly maintenance fee, which can be waivered if account receives only eStatements and either 1.) the account has been open for equal to or fewer than 30 days or 2.) the account has at least ten (10) qualifying debit card transactions that clear the account during the Monthly Qualification Cycle. How do I earn cash back with Cash Back Checking?
Simply use your 3Rivers debit card for everyday purchases. Each qualifying transaction counts toward your monthly tier. Once you reach the transaction threshold, you'll earn the corresponding cash back amount, which deposits automatically on the last day of your statement cycle.
How is Cash Back Checking different from a bank?
Traditional banks charge monthly fees without rewards. 3Rivers rewards your loyalty with actual cash back and most active members pay zero fees. We're member-owned, so profits reinvest into member benefits, not shareholder profits.
Is my money safe at a credit union?
Yes. 3Rivers deposits are federally insured by the NCUA up to $250,000 per account type. Plus, as member-owned, we're governed by member representatives, so decisions prioritize member benefit over profit.
What counts as a qualifying transaction?
Qualifying transactions include debit card purchases (both signature-based and PIN-based) made at retail merchants using your account, as well as Direct Deposit and Bill Pay transactions processed through Automated Clearing House (ACH) . To count, transactions must post and settle during your Monthly Qualification Cycle, which runs from the first day of the month through 4:00 PM EST on the last calendar day.
What's the monthly fee?
There's a $5 monthly maintenance fee. However, this fee is waived if you receive your statement electronically AND meet ONE condition: your account is 30 days old or newer, OR you have 10+ qualifying transactions per cycle.
When does my cash back deposit into my account?
Your earned cash back is deposited on the last calendar day of the month, at the end of your statement cycle. The money is immediately available in your checking account, so you can spend it, transfer it, or leave it there.
